The Country Club of Sioux Falls

One of the country clubs in Sioux Falls. The golf course, obviously, is not available for the season but the country club is open all year round. I came for a breakfast event, before starting the day.

Autumn Morning Run

This is the west side part of the main bike trail loop. I walked around the Sertoma Park loop, looking for compositions. The foliage colors were marvelous. It's not the greatest compared to the colorful fall colors of other areas in the States, but it was still a beautiful scene.

It's Nice to See You, Sun

It was mostly a sunny day but it was cold, below freezing cold. I spent most of the day inside, developing and troubleshooting on several projects for work.

Breathe, the Moment Like This

Opportunity to appreciate life sometimes comes when one least expects it. Like, on an early morning of the last work day of a long work week and you were running late. Don't forget to take a breather every once in awhile.

Clear Driveway Before Work, Check

It was the morning after the snowstorm. I woke up early to clear the snow from the driveway before going to work, even though it was still snowing lightly. We carpooled to work because I don't think the car would make it out of the neighborhood. The street was still unplowed.

Morning Sun Before Starting the Day

I took a brief moment out of the office, before I was on the clock, and make this photo. It was still cold, but at least the sun is shining.

The Morning Commute

The morning commute when it closer to 8 am. It took probably about another 7 minutes extra compared to if I started earlier. My commute is usually not more than 20 minutes. It's not too bad.

Morning Smoke for Two

We were at the public park early in the morning to make some photos. It was our secondary location. We couldn't access the first one. For some people, the day won't start without a smoke.

Time to Wake Up

Commuters had started to fill the street, a few people were out to start the day. I was on the halfway point of my morning walk.

Saturday Morning at the Mall

The regular morning gathering at the mall. There are usually activities intended for kids at the mall on the weekends. It's not only at this particular mall, but at most malls that I have ever been to.

Pedestrian Bridge Under Construction

The street below is quite busy during business hours. Currently, the crosswalk is guarded by two security persons who would stop traffic to let pedestrians to walk across. Most vehicles would stop, but there are usually a few, especially motorcycles, that refuse to stop for pedestrians.

Good Morning, Sunshine

Another morning walk sunrise. I have been trying to putting the miles in the morning again. Sleeping in has spoiled me.

Fog Over Lembang

I missed this photo and found it while browsing the library. Time changes. I can see the difference on how I would process the photo then and now. The tools have not changed much, but I surely have.

The last opportunity to make photos in Baluran. I woke up early and went up the observation tower. The moon was still out, waiting for the sun to rise.

Cemoro Lawang at First Light

We were up on a hill called King Kong hill way before sunrise. We got there around 4:15 am and hiked to the viewpoint area. It took me about 15 minutes to bring my gear, pick a spot, and set up shop. It looked disappointing at first. But as the sun rose and got higher over the hill, the fog lifted and we got to enjoy some amazing views. Limited to Giclée print and only for 50 copies. Monkey, the Menace

There were plenty of monkeys around the lodging. They never did give us problems, until the last morning. My friend made a mistake feeding them. Initially he offered a piece of wafer to a small group, but then the group crowded him and took the whole container. It didn't stop there. We gathered our trash, including what was left of the wafer's container, put them in a plastic bag and left the bag just outside our room. You guessed it! They ransacked the bag.

It was time for me to head back to the room and get ready for our trip home.

Breaks the Horizon

The sun had just broke the horizon in the distance. It was so quiet and peaceful. Some birds of prey were out already. I saw some herd of deers out in the distance savanna too.
