Corvettes Line Up
Corvettes from various years parked in the spots in downtown.
The 50th Anniversary Corvette
Another Corvette from the Hot Summer Night event.
Snakes on the Plain
Besides the Corvettes and people, you could also find snakes.
People Came to See Corvettes
There were Corvettes everywhere. Old, new, red, yellow, roadster, hard top, you named it, they were all there.
Classic 1958 Corvette
I thought 1962 was the oldest Corvette I could find. On the way back, I saw this classic historic specimen.
It's So Shiny
There were a lot of show quality Corvettes showed up in downtown Sioux Falls for the annual Hot Summer Night event.
It is for sale for $139,000; definitely out of my pocket change range. I still cannot afford it if it's $39,000. It is a beautiful car.
Falls Park Panorama
A different day, a different visit to the Falls Park and made another photo. This time it is a super wide panorama. My thought is to make it a triptych print set.
Dusk at Falls Park
I tried another attempt to go to Falls Park and make photos. I was taking the advantage of the cloud cover. Initially, I thought it would be a black and white photo, but in colors, it doesn't look too bad.
One Hot Parade Day
We went to Lennox for the July 4th parade. There were quite of people there. Some of the crowd were raising their hands for a spray of water to cool off a bit.
Plenty of Options to Choose From
Another photo from rib fest when they were in town.
BBQ and Live Music
The annual Rib Fest was in town and I got free admission tickets.
The Street Sweeper Brigade
Before the main part of the parade begins, the street was deemed not clean enough. So, the street sweepers made their pass through.
People Do Enjoy the Park
There were quite a few people came to the Falls Park this evening. Most of them made photos with either a phone or an actual camera. It was a nice day to be outside and people appreciated it.
Can I Have More?
The nice weather days after some cold days are always appreciated. I am looking forward to more days like this.
Social Hour at the Addy's
I came to the event for the first time while testing out an old Nikon manual lens. I have some blurry photos but, when I got the focus right, the lens is sharper than my auto focus 50 mm wide open.
A Nice Day for Ice Fishing
Winter does not mean cold, gloomy, and miserable weather all the time. It was a nice sunny day but still around freezing temperature. At least there was no wind. There was probably about a foot of ice underneath us. A few people caught some fish; we all had a good time. Did I tell you that it was for free? There were s'mores and hot chocolate too. I love this town.
She Got Free Wings
We went to the hockey game and she got a free coupon for some wings. The coupons were dropped from a remote controlled blimp and one of the coupon flew down by her and she caught it. I am sure it made her day.
I met with a small of group of friends for my farewell lunch. We made some videos and photos for the promotion materials of the 25-year high school reunion next year.
Almost late afternoon, I was waiting for another group of friends to meet and have supper with.
I am still keeping in touch with some friends from the early days. Some I hadn't met for more than 30 years.
Midafternoon at the Mall
Catching a ride with a friend to meet another group of friends in another mall.
Ladies Day at Citos
Discount on fashion products is a familiar scene at malls, especially around big holidays.
Cemoro Lawang at First Light
We were up on a hill called King Kong hill way before sunrise. We got there around 4:15 am and hiked to the viewpoint area. It took me about 15 minutes to bring my gear, pick a spot, and set up shop. It looked disappointing at first. But as the sun rose and got higher over the hill, the fog lifted and we got to enjoy some amazing views.
