I went out to make some photos and it happened to be snowing. It was windy and almost everything was covered with snow. I thought the river would be an interesting subject. It was not as good as an outing I originally thought it would be. At least, I got a good workout out of it.

The burial mounds, five of them, are surrounded by wood fences. They are also clearly marked. There are no exhibits or artifacts displays at the park.

Missed Opportunity
The intention was to make a photo of the moon during the penumbra eclipse, but I was too late. I had a conference call prior to the eclipse and found out about the eclipse time after the fact. So, I got a photo of a full moon after the eclipse instead.

One of the hotel in downtown Sioux Falls. It's newer and has freshened up the scenery of the downtown area. The path down by the river bank is the bike trail.

A Nice Day for Ice Fishing
Winter does not mean cold, gloomy, and miserable weather all the time. It was a nice sunny day but still around freezing temperature. At least there was no wind. There was probably about a foot of ice underneath us. A few people caught some fish; we all had a good time. Did I tell you that it was for free? There were s'mores and hot chocolate too. I love this town.

Tomar Park and Spencer Park are connected by this bridge. One of many access to the bike trail loop. I saw people utilize the trail with snowshoes, cross-country skis, and even run.

This was the morning after the snowstorm. The snow had not stopped falling until late morning; it wasn't much more. It was probably another inch. Those snow piles were not largest pile. We had a couple of small hill size piles in front of our office.

Clear Driveway Before Work, Check
It was the morning after the snowstorm. I woke up early to clear the snow from the driveway before going to work, even though it was still snowing lightly. We carpooled to work because I don't think the car would make it out of the neighborhood. The street was still unplowed.

Fifteen Hours Later
The snowstorm has passed. The morning started with shoveling the driveway. We got probably six to eight inches throughout the city. Two hours late start for schools and not everybody made it to the office today. It is another winter adventure, some might say.
