The markings on the tree showed the highest water level when the river flooded. It was when the river went as high as the bottom part of the bridge a few years ago. The trees and the bridge survived.
I took a walk across from the park. Through a pedestrian tunnel, I can get to the other side of the busy street safely. I might need a kayak if the river water level is higher.
The day was colder than the day prior. It was over 90 degrees for high yesterday and rainy and 75 today. That didn't stop some folks from enjoying the day outside.
