On the way back to Jakarta, we got stucked in the toll road. There was an accident that cause a really long line. We were slowly crawling towards Jakarta. The usual 3 hour drive became a 7 hour trip.
One thing I dislike in Indonesian traffic is the sense of chaos. Traffic laws can be bended and broken for selfish reasons. In this case, an ambulance had to go through the blocked traffic. There were 9 - 10 other vehicles, which had nothing to do with the emergency, followed the ambulance drove on the fast lane shoulder. Yes. The fast lane shoulder because the other shoulder was blocked with traffic already. Three lane toll road became 5. This happened 2 more times through out the night.
